Sweet Little Red

Happy that our spunky Little Red is with a great family!

She has a new "big" brother who is a six month old mini Goldendoodle so they will be great friends!

Yay for Little Red! Congratulations Danielle and family!

Picture Perfect

My son took this really great picture late yesterday afternoon after our last puppy was claimed (lucky for us she's not going home for a few days!) It's so funny to only have four puppies in our backyard now!

I love this picture!

Saying Goodbye

Having these nine puppies has been the best experience. We have loved every minute with them. From being there when they first came into the this world until just yesterday when our last baby went home. The kids especially have learned so much in these short eight weeks. They've learned that life is really a miracle and they've learned about nature and what a marvelous creation God has set forth for us.

But the hardest thing they've learned is to say goodbye. We, all of us, have loved these puppies so much. Each one with their own personalities. Everytime one gets adopted it's always "our favorite". But I try to focus everyone on the good part...that these babies are going to great homes and will bring so much joy to people and that makes me feel better. And I think it does make them feel better but there is still a small hole in their hearts as well. This, too, is something that we've learned, that love is powerful and worthwhile.

We love getting updates and pictures of the babies in their new homes! Thank you all for including us!

God bless you all! Give those puppies a hug for us!

Hello Lucy

This lucky girl...well they are BOTH lucky girls...is now a Youens! Lucy Youens!

We've been planning this big surprise for quite a while now and today was the day. I was so excited that I could almost cry!

The kids came home from school to be greeted by a sweet little black dog with a huge pink bow around her neck. What a fun way to start the weekend.

So glad that Lucy has found her wonderful home! She is going to have a great life full of fun!

Two Sweet Girls

These girls are just the right mix of sweet and sassy! They are just as happy to snuggle and watch TV as they are to chase a ball and run around the yard and explore.
I just love, love, love these girls!

Katie and Ben's New Girl!

Cheetah Girl is going to be one spoiled and loved girl! Katie and Ben were just married six weeks ago and now they have a special girl to add to their family! We love this girl. She is such an affectionate pup and we are happy that she has found a home where she will be treated like a real princess.

Congratulations Katie and Ben!

Congratulations Bauman Family!

I'm really happy that my favorite puppy whom I affectionately call Prince is going to the Bauman family. They have a one-year-old Goldendoodle and they loved him so much they wanted to add to their family! My Prince is going to have a really great life.

Congratulations Baumans!

Exploring the Watermelon Patch

Of course it's the little red Gingham girl out exploring the watermelon patch! She is the most petite of the bunch but she is definitely the most adventurous and independent! Girl power!

Good mama

Four Weeks Old

Four weeks old and they've got places to go! Trying to get good pictures of four-week-old puppies is nearly impossible. They are busy, busy, busy! I think their favorite new place to explore/hide/sleep is in my flower garden. They all somehow wedged and wiggled themselves in there so deep it was hard to get them out!

They are so cute now. Super playful. As soon as they hear you coming out they run out of the shed to greet you, jumping over one another to be first!

We love them all so much. Some have started to have distinct personalities: explorers, shy, adventurous. playful.

Hope you love the new pictures!

when there are more important things to explore besides being still for a group photo this is what you get!

Puppy Play Yard

Rambunctious puppies call for a new housing situation!

We completed their new play yard a couple days ago. Everyone seems really happy with their new accommodations...especially Honey since she can come and go as she pleases!

Clean Bill of Health

The puppies had their first outing yesterday to visit our sweet, sweet vet. It was a little bit of a chore to get all nine pups and mama plus excited and proud Chloe there!

We caused some excitement when we showed up at the vet. Everyone had to come snuggle and love on the pups!

They were all examined and then dewormed. The all did really great! I have to say it was a very successful outing.

Oatmeal

“It's just the most amazing thing to love a dog, isn't it? It makes our relationships with people seem as boring as a bowl of oatmeal.”

Puppy Photo Shoot :: 2 Weeks

This was the pups' first time to be on the grass!

They are all basically identical save for their size and gender! Some are definitely more brown so you can tell them apart. But up until this photo shoot I couldn't tell them apart. So, in a "genius" move I tied colored ribbons around their necks so I could begin to distinguish them. It was a great idea...for about a day. Then they all started finding ways out of their homemade collars so we are back to square one!

Needing to find a better solution.

Nevertheless, here are their two-week puppy pictures!

Happy Thursday!

official family portrait

This is what we are calling the "official" family portrait. It is a picture the breeder sent me. I love how they are posing!

Isaac is a chocolate Standard Poodle. He is ACK/APRI/CKC registered. He weighs in at 65 lbs and is 26 inches tall. You can see more pictures of Isaac on his owners' website.

Just a few fun puppy snapshots from yesterday. They are all such snuggle pups. We love them so very much!

Sweet, sweet mama, Honey

puppies beaucoup!

Summer has been a whirwind. Baseball, track meets, vacation, etc. etc. It's hard to believe that school starts in less than a week. But SOME of us are happy for getting back to a regular routine...and bedtime (ahem).

The most exciting news is that our sweet, sweet Honey had puppies a couple days ago!! Nine puppies to be exact. Goldendoodles! However we seem to be not so much golden but the unique dark, dark chocolate or black velvet color. Hooray!

So Saturday morning at the crack of 5:30 we hear a yelp and rushed into action! Chloe was there from the first minute. What a really neat experience to share with her. By the time the last puppy was born (5 hours later) we were all worn out!

They are such whiny babies. It is so funny just how LOUD a bunch of hours-old pups can be. We are having so much fun with them. Honey is such a great mom. Just two days before they made their debut, Honey wouldn't put any pressure on her front foot and was hopping around on three legs. Poor baby. Turns out somehow she broke her foot.

But the vet told us that once the puppies were born that she would forget all about her poor foot. And, sure enough they are right! When she gets up to eat or go outside she runs out and then rushes back in as fast as she can to get back to her babies. Such a good mama!

Now to just come up with nine names...Velvet, Coco, Kohl, Steele, Jet, Onyx...what else would fit a matched set of nine black puppies (five girls, four boys)?? Suggestions appreciated!

They are the most precious, precious creatures. What a reminder of just what a real miracle life is and how blessed we are!

Puppy love!
